Privacy policy
Who we are
Pick Time Consultancy is a visa and study consultancy with offices in Dhaka, Bangladesh and London, United Kingdom. We are the "controller" of the personal information described in this policy, which means we decide how and why it is used.
You can contact us about this policy or your information using the details on our Contact page.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry through this website we collect:
- your name, email address and phone or WhatsApp number
- the country and visa you are interested in, your preferred office and your message
- the page you sent the enquiry from, and the date and time you agreed to this policy
- your IP address, which we keep for a short time to stop spam and abuse
If you become a client
To prepare a visa or university application we will ask for more information, such as passport details, education and work history, financial documents and, where a visa route requires it, information about your family or health. We explain what we need, and why, before we collect it, and we only use it for your application.
How we use your information
- to reply to your enquiry and give you the advice you asked for
- to prepare and follow up your application if you become a client
- to keep records we are required to keep by law or by our regulators
- to protect this website from spam and misuse
We do not sell your information, and we do not send you marketing messages unless you ask us to.
Our legal basis
Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we rely on: your consent when you send an enquiry; the steps needed to enter into and carry out our contract with you when you become a client; our legal obligations; and our legitimate interest in running and protecting our business. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.
Who we share it with
We only share your information when we need to, and only with:
- our own team in Dhaka and London, so the right counsellor can help you
- universities, colleges and government visa authorities, only when you ask us to apply on your behalf
- service providers who help us run our business, such as our email and website hosting providers, under contracts that protect your information
- regulators, courts or the police, where the law requires it
Sending information between countries
Because we have offices in Bangladesh and the United Kingdom, your information may be accessed from both countries. When information leaves the UK we put safeguards in place, as UK data protection law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to an application for up to 2 years, and client files for up to 6 years after your case ends, unless the law or a regulator requires us to keep them longer. After that we delete them securely.
Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct information that is wrong
- ask us to delete your information, or to stop or limit how we use it
- object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent
- receive your information in a format you can take elsewhere
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, please contact us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
