Overview
The Standard Visitor visa covers holidays, family visits, business meetings, short courses of up to 6 months and a number of other permitted activities. You cannot work or live in the UK on this visa.
Bangladeshi citizens need to apply before travelling. A strong application shows clear travel plans, enough money for the trip and good reasons to return home. We help you present this clearly.
Who can apply
The main requirements. A counsellor will check your situation in detail.
- You will leave the UK at the end of your visit
- You can pay for your trip and return journey (or someone will fund it)
- You will not use frequent or long visits to live in the UK
- Your planned activities are permitted for visitors

- Travel plan and accommodation details
- Invitation letter and host’s documents, if visiting family or friends
